Entrepreneur and Military Spouse, Liza Rodewald, Joins Operation Code’s Board of Directors
Hire MadSkills Co-Founder and CTO joins board to represent fellow military spouses in coding.
Richmond, Va., August 30, 2017 — Operation Code, the largest community dedicated to helping military veterans and their families launch software development careers, announced today the addition of Liza Rodewald to it’s board of directors.
Rodewald is the co-founder and CTO of Hire MadSkills, an online talent community dedicated to providing unbeatable remote work positions across many industries to resilient military spouses. And, as an Army wife herself—with more than 16 years experience working in technology—she understands, firsthand, the value a coding career can bring to military spouses looking to make a big move towards a more portable, profitable opportunity.

With this new addition, Operation Code will go on to ensure that all areas of the military community can be served throughout the coding schools and accelerated learning programs it provides. And, ultimately, persist in serving as a resource for military spouses and veterans to learn new skills and build a career—something both Operation Code and MadSkills is passionate about.
Operation Code is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on teaching and training members of the U.S. military community to code to provide them with the necessary skills and professional training to enter the workforce in software development and the tech industries. Their mission offers their members opportunities to (1) learn to build software through enrolling in bootcamp programs; (2) join an online Peer-to-Peer software mentorship program; (3) attend professional conferences with scholarship and funding; and, (4) seek employment with large tech industries organizations in the United States.
